Listed by Seven Days as one of the best new restaurants of the year, Bluebird Barbecue marks the second restaurant developed by owner Sue Bette. Bluebird Barbecue encapsulates a throw-back to family picnics and neighborhood get-togethers of the 1970s and 80s. The identity uses a collection of type and colors that reflect the eclectic nature of southern barbecue joints. Paired with a collection of photography reminiscent of a not so distant past, Pluck designed all interior and exterior signage. Top-level messaging and design element were integrated throughout the dining experience, culminating in the development of the tagline “It’s a Bluebird Kind of Day!”.
